I'm not a clinician, but am passionate about the work.
Starting with my own mental health journey 20+ years ago, I’ve sat across from multiple counselors and therapists processing emotions, trauma, and circumstances. I’ve grown through some very tough stuff that never would have been possible without them. I’m a champion of therapy for life.
Today, my wife co-owns a local counseling practice with 30 clinicians. I get a back stage pass to the wisdom, intuition, and care they possess. I also see the challenges of working with insurance, billing, and growing a client base. The fatigue that follows a gauntlet of 1:1 client appointments. I hear the enthusiasm and ideas that get passed around, only to fade into the ether of normal routine and chaos.
This is a space where I’m excited to get my hands dirty.
My experience that led me here
I spent the past 15 years in high growth B2B startup environments building brands, products, experiences, and marketing campaigns. I’ve built solutions across industries including healthcare, construction, and payments. I’ve pitched investors, built prototypes for the CEO of United Health Group, and led distributed teams across design, product, and marketing.
In the process, I lost my sense of identity and the meaning of work while chasing what I thought was going to make me whole. I’ve watched executives lose respect because they could no longer connect, relate, or read the room. I’ve seen talented peers disengage from a mission or company they no longer felt as authentic and meaningful. I’ve read confusion and disappointment on the faces of others who, like me, were met with a reality far less gratifying and exciting than the one we were sold.
Building and selling enterprise software doesn’t excite me anymore. I’m no longer interested in chasing fabricated metrics. I’m bored with growth for the sake of growth.
My focus now is work that changes lives and transforms our future. I’m still wired as a creator, connector, and builder, but I want to pour that energy into the work of experts and leaders like you.
